- MRI provides more information about a potential problem seen on an x-ray, ultrasound scan or CT scan.
What does Midlands Ortho use it for?
- MRI can check for problems of the bones and joints. Some common problems found by MRI include, arthritis, bone marrow problems, bone tumors, cartilage problems, torn ligaments or joints and infections. MRI can also be used to check the nerves of the spine for conditions such as spinal stenosis, disc bulges and spinal tumors.
Midlands Orthopaedics is accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for the provision of musculoskeletal MRI services.
