Frederick C. Piehl, MD

Dr. Frederick C. Piehl joined Midlands Orthopaedics on Aug. 1, 1992. He holds degrees from the University of South Carolina and the USC School of Medicine in Columbia and completed his internship at Richland Memorial Hospital and Dorn Veterans Administration Hospital in Columbia, where he also completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Piehl’s fellowship work was in pediatric orthopaedics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.  He is a member of the S.C. Medical Association, Columbia Medical Society, American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, Association for the Study and Application of the Methods of Ilizarov (ASAMI North America), Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
